I envy that cloud at sunset.
The orange and red splashed underneath
and the violet and blue dancing upon its wreath
always brings a smile to my face
in the epitome of natural wonder.
As those colors mingle
just a kiss away from blend
I feel as though they may transcend
that veil and crash together
in a magnificent thunder.
But they meet in a simpler way.
Just a hello and goodbye,
come and gone never knowing why
they’ve come so far in harmony
only to buckle under the nothing of a cloud.
