Stargazing at Noon

Ask me where I’m looking,
my answer plays the same tune.
I say I’m watching the clouds move,
I’m stargazing at noon.

A sort of daydream?
Well, I’m dreaming all the time
until the stars are all that’s left,
Admiring an arcadian pantomime in my eyes

and disregarding my self-indulgent lies.
